(Re)Imagining
What would you like to see?
Many of us imagine landscapes based on what we value, including natural aesthetics or economics. Often, we have to change our views when landscapes are affected by natural events or processes or human activities. The following sections provides insights into how we might be able to convey our views of the landscapes we would like to see and how invididuals can convey their visions.
Fires can lead to loss of vegetation or buildings, particularly if severe and/or frequent.
Exterme and/or prolonged flooding can lead to changes in vegetation composition and land use.
Areas suffering from short to long-term rainfall deficiency can lead to dieback and loss of vegetation.
Strong winds, particularly if sustained over long periods, can lead to damage to vegetation and infrastructure.
